Pakistan reinforces border amid rising India tensions, defence minister warns of crucial days aheadISLAMABAD Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar says that India’s irresponsible actions after the Pahalgam attack threaten regional peace.
During a press conference along with DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry on the tension between Pakistan and India and Indian provocations along the Line of Control , Ishaq Dar said that the purpose of the press conference is to inform about the current situation. “We regret the loss of human lives in the Pahalgam incident. Pakistan condemns all forms of terrorism. The killing of innocent civilians is condemnable. The United Nations Security Council has also condemned this attack. Pakistan itself is a victim of terrorism,” Dar said. “We are in touch with the international community regarding the current situation. India is deliberately escalating the situation in the region. India is behind terrorist incidents in many countries, including Pakistan,” he added. “India should focus on its internal problems instead of pointing fingers at others. India took irresponsible actions after the Pahalgam incident,” he stated. Dar said that Pakistan is neither involved in the Pahalgam incident, nor is it a beneficiary of the Pahalgam attack. “Pakistan has offered cooperation in an impartial investigation into the Pahalgam incident.”
