Addressing the police’s passing out parade, Afghan Taliban Commander Saeedullah Saeed has said that those waging jihad in other countries by joining different groups are not ‘real mujahids’. “Going to Pakistan for jihad despite the fact that the state of Afghanistan has ordered them not to do so, is a non-compliance,” he has said, adding, “Waging jihad only because of an association with a militant group or because of ego will be in the eyes of Islamic Shariah ‘Fasad’, and not jihad. The Taliban commander has further said it is a state’s Ameer, and not any group, who announces or gives permission for jihad. Defence experts have said that this statement by the commander is crucial for Pakistan’s internal stability.
