In the classic 1973 horror-thriller, Ekland portrays islander Willow McGregor, daughter of the innkeeper at the Green Man Inn. Ekland’s character is young and sexually liberated and is seen nude in a dance sequence for the movie.
This body doubling reportedly occurred after Ekland had already given her consent to be shown from the waist up in the nude dancing scene. Instead of honoring this agreement, the studio “just stuck a blonde wig on the body double.” According to Ekland, the model’s body did not even resemble hers, and thus, she describes feeling “duped” and “distraught” in this process.
