DPM Dar says Pakistan wants composite dialogue with India to discuss all key issues

Addressing Senate session on Thursday, Ishaq Dar said that when Pakistan completed the phase one of its operation then it was told that India was ready for ceasefire and it was said that his Indian counterpart Jaishankar had announced ceasefire. He said Pakistan Army attacked Indian military installations. He said after Pakistan’s reaction, India was forced to hoist white flags at some posts, adding that there were some posts that India had never left since 1947. Dar said Pakistan will move on for dialogue and there will be a political dialogue and all issues will be discussed there. Ishaq Dar demanded that composite talks should be held. He said militaries of both sides were already in contact. He said Prime Minister has said that, “if we have to fight, we are ready, if we have to talk, we are also ready”. Ishaq Dar made it clear that Pakistan will never accept the Indian move to usurp Kashmir. He said World Bank President's statement on the Indus Waters Treaty has made it clear that Indian cannot backout of the treaty. He said during the tension, 40 innocent civilians, 11 soldiers were martyred and 180 were injured. Dar said Indian gave no report that any civilian was harmed. He said Pakistan will help and support the martyrs and injured. Deputy Prime Minister said ceasefire took place at 4:30pm but India fled within hours. Dar made it clear that Pakistan will not accept anyone's supremacy. During Pak-Indian tension, Deputy Prime Minister said he held talks with China and Turkey. He said India failed to sell its narrative as Pakistan responded effectively on all fronts. He said Pakistan completely closed its airspace for Indian flights and Pakistan remained in diplomatic contact with all countries. Dar said soon after the Pahalgam incident, the Indian media immediately started blaming Pakistan. While Pakistan made it clear that Islamabad had nothing to do with Pahalgam incident. Ishaq Dar said Pakistan proved that India misreported to the world. He said India blamed that on the night of May 7 that 15 places were attacked, adding that Indian made these allegations to incite the Sikh community. Ishaq Dar told the Senate members that soon a new drama was started and Indian claimed Pakistan started sending drones. In fact around 80 drones were roaming in Pakistan. He said then Pakistan forces were given the authority to implement Operation Phase 1 instead of patience. Dar claimed a specific plan was given to the armed forces, which was implemented successfully. Deputy Prime Minister said foreign countries admitted that Pakistan did not attack the Sikh place in India and no F-16 was flown by Pakistan. Dar said Pakistan attacked India to defend its sovereignty. He said according to international law, Pakistan immediately responded to India.
