AKRON, Ohio - A 65-year-old man died Thursday evening in a head-on crash in Akron.
The Summit County Medical Examiner said it happened around 7:20 p.m. on West Thornton Street near Rhodes Avenue. The victim lost control near the intersection and struck a telephone pole head on, according to the medical examiner.The victim’s identity has not been released, and the medical examiner said an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
