Well, don’t go that far. But DO connect with them in a friendly way. Follow them in all relevant social media, if you didn’t already do this when you were researching them before the meeting. Make sure you do this for LinkedIn—the world’s biggest online professional networking platform. You want to have all your professional connections in one place and for most of us, LinkedIn should be that place. Doing this helps you stay on top of what they are doing so they can stay top of mind for you.
Send an email to express your appreciation for having connected, and recap anything you said you’d do or provide any information you said you’d share .Add into your calendar the actions you said you’d take when you were meeting. If you said you’d connect them with one of your contacts or you agreed to set up a follow-on video meeting, do it.With their permission, add them to your emailing list so you can stay in touch with them passively but remain in their purview.
