Three MSU students were killed Monday in a campus shooting by Lansing resident Anthony McRae, 43.
EAST LANSING, MI – The five injured Michigan State University students who survived a mass shooting on campus remain in critical condition, authorities said Wednesday, Feb. 15.The family of one of the injured students,She is a junior in MSU’s College Assistance Migrant Program.Students Arielle Diamond Anderson, a graduate of Grosse Pointe North High, Brian Fraser of Grosse Pointe South High, and Alexandria Verner of Clawson High, died in the shooting.
The gunman, Anthony McRae, 43, of Lansing, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He shot himself three hours after the rampage began, tracked by police to an area near Lake Lansing Road and Larch Street.On Wednesday, MSU students held a peaceful protest at the State Capitol. Organizer Maya Manuel said many students are traumatized and fearful of leaving their homes.
