BREAKING UPDATE: Police said five people were killed and several others were hurt after a major rollover crash involving two vehicles in Pearland on Saturday evening.
According to the Pearland Police Department, the crash took place in the 14700 block of Highway 288 at around 7:28 p.m.
Investigators said one vehicle with three people inside was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed and hit another vehicle.Three people from the second vehicle, including one minor, died at the scene. Officials did not provide the age of the child.The driver believed to be responsible for the initial vehicle collision died at the hospital.
