This potential trade makes a ton of sense and is one I've suggested the 49ers could pull off. The Jaguars have a ton of pressure to make the playoffs and maximize the talent of Trevor Lawrence, who has been underwhelming so far in his career. So they would have the motivation to add a premium wide receiver and pay him market value.
If Baalke spends a top-20 pick on a wide receiver, I expect he'll want a sure thing such as Aiyuk, because he can't draft wide receivers to save his life. Thomas Jr. is a 6'3" wide receiver who has 4.33 speed and runs good routes. He has a tremendously high ceiling -- even higher than Aiyuk's.. It's unclear what the concerns are, but Thomas has had a shoulder injury in the past, so it could be related to that, which wouldn't be a huge concern.
