49ers’ assistant Bobby Slowik will run offense for DeMeco Ryans in Houston.
49ers assistant coach Bobby Slowik is moving up and moving on, joining DeMeco Ryans as offensive coordinator of the Houston Texans.
Slowik, 35, arrived as a quality control coach as Ryans did when Kyle Shanahan took over as 49ers head coach in 2017. His title was passing game specialist in 2021 and passing game coordinator a year ago.are hiring Bobby Slowik as their offensive coordinator, per sources. Slowik and DeMeco Ryans spent the past six seasons together in San Francisco, both starting their NFL coaching careers as defensive quality controls. Now, Ryans brings Slowik along as OC.
