Shortly after 9:10 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 6100 block of South Justine Street and found four victims in an alley with gunshot wounds, police said.
Four people were wounded, one fatally, in a shooting Monday night in the Englewood neighborhood, Chicago police said. A 35-year-old man suffered two wounds to the head, and was pronounced dead at the scene. A 60-year-old woman also was shot in the head, and taken in critical condition to Holy Cross Hospital.
A 52-year-old woman suffered a wound to the right thigh, and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital. The fourth victim, a 64-year-old man, suffered a wound to the right arm, and was taaken iin good condition to UChicago Medicine, police said. Witnesses at the scene told police they saw a gunman open fire at the mouth of the alley before fleeing the scene. No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
