Four Victoria-area restaurants are among the top 100 most romantic restaurants in Canada for 2025, according to a ranking by dining website OpenTable.In Victoria, the four restaurants that made the cut were Boom + Batten, Finn’s Seafood Restaurant, Glo Restaurant and Lounge, and Vista 18.OpenTable created its list based on 900,000 reviews made by verified OpenTable diners between Dec. 1, 2023 and Nov. 30, 2024.
The reviews were weighted based on diner ratings, percentage of five star reviews, number of reservations made, number of direct searches, and percentage of reviews that included the tag “romantic.”The lion’s share of restaurants on OpenTable’s most romantic list this year are located in Ontario, with 59 of the top 100 located in that province.
B.C. follows with 16 of the top 100 most romantic restaurants, followed by Alberta with 14, Quebec with nine, and Nova Scotia and New Brunswick with one a piece.– as were Med Grill in Saanich, Steamship Grill and Bar in Victoria, and the Dining Room at the Butchart Gardens in Central Saanich.Two smaller Island communities – Sooke and Courtenay – were also named the fifth and sixth sexiest towns in the country, respectively.Adam Chan is a Digital News Editor who joined CHEK News in 2023.
