Quake was felt on some parts of Vancouver Island

B.C. Hydro spokesman Stephen Watson said on social media on Saturday morning: “We’re inspecting our hydroelectric dams today following this earthquake: no damage expected. Went over our response on a internal call this morning. “A major seismic event on Van Isle at some point is why we have major seismic upgrades planned at our three Campbell River dams.”
