If you find summer whizzes by in a blur, here is how to make the most of the season
“We often lean towards a holiday with the hope that it will give us a boatload of what we need most – be it rest, adventure or quality time with loved ones,” says. “We can end up putting so much pressure on time away that the inevitable curveballs – the family fall-outs or storm clouds – find us feeling disappointed. So instead of heaping all the hope on a holiday, think of it more as a break from the normal routine of life.
“To stop summer flying by too quickly, commit to keeping some free time each week to do something slowly,” says Mathur. “It might be physically slowing down and switching some high-intensity work-outs for something like, or perhaps you leave for work a few moments earlier so that you can slow your stride as you walk, and take time to notice your surroundings.
