Cats will wear it as jersey shoulder patch during their 30th season since team moved from Victoria
It's their 30th season since the Cats made the move north from Victoria.
The team has produced a commemorative 30th anniversary logo that will worn by the players as a shoulder patch on their road and home jerseys. Fans at CN Centre will also see the logo painted on the ice and it will be used on some of the team merchandise available at the Cougars Shop next to their arena office.
“The logo itself is a bit of a combination of the diamond logo that the team wore for the bulk of its existence and the logo we currently have,” said Taylor Dakers, the Cougars director of business. “30 years of exceptional fan support is something to be acknowledged and celebrated. We are proud to have been a part of the fabric of this community and look forward to another 30 years. We want to thank our past and present fans, billets, and sponsors for continuing to support this team as we develop teenagers into outstanding young men year in and year out.”
Training camp starts this Thursday and on-ice scrimmages and intrasquad games will be ongoing throughout the weekend.Season memberships and other ticket packages are available through the Tickets North website.
