This Earth Day festival features a home electrification showcase, a clean vehicle expo, a plant based market, live performances, reptile encounters, community groups and engaging activities for all ages. Free admission.11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 20, Weekes Park, 27182 Patrick Ave., Hayward. Partake in the annual citywide cleanup followed by an Earth Day Fair featuring eco-friendly giveaways, educational demonstrations, music and fun activities. Free admission.
9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 20, Mill Valley. Kick off your Earth Day festivities with an interactive tour of Woolly Egg Ranch. Then, head down to the Tam Valley Community Center to enjoy a garage sale, compost demonstrations, a cargo bike display, documentary films, kids activities, live music, plus food and drinks stalls. Free festival admission, $5 to $10 Ranch Tour admission.10 a.m. to 12 p.m. April 20, Calle Oriente Mini Park, 1199 Calle Oriente, Milpitas.
12 to 4 p.m. April 21, Thrive City, 1 Warriors Way San Francisco. Storefront Records will celebrate sustainability, upcycling and The Earth with an open-air market. Shop from Bay Area vendors and artisans, enjoy local fare and watch live performances, including an open jam session. Free admission.12:30 to 4:30 p.m. April 21, Peace Lutheran Church, 3201 Camino Tassajara, Danville. This community event offers art, music, activities and local eco-success stories. Free admission.1 to 4 p.m.
