3 teens who escaped Louisiana detention facility with guard's help found in Houston
Teenagers TyJuan Lafitte, Na'Varaya Lane and Jeremiah Durham were captured Sunday, May 15, 2022 in Houston after escaping a juvenile detention facility with the help of guard Victoria Tune, 21.Three teens who escaped a Louisiana juvenile detention facility early Saturday with the help of a 21-year old guard have been found in Houston, authorities said Sunday.
Tune and the three teens, who were being housed at the facility for felony crimes that included armed robbery and attempted murder, were taken into custody around 2 a.m. Sunday by Houston police. Officers traced the getaway car the parking lot of a Houston motel, which was under surveillance by HPD for several hours.
The suspects remained in Harris County Jail as of Sunday afternoon, according to court records. They will be extradited back to Louisiana to face charges related to the escape, the sheriff's office said.
