3 people, dog injured after two-vehicle crash in southwest Houston, police say
Two people have to be extracted from a vehicle Saturday morning following a collision in southwest Houston.Three people and a dog were injured Saturday morning after a two-vehicle crash in southwest Houston, police said.
The collision occurred around 12 a.m. on West Bellfort at West Sam Houston Parkway, according to Houston police. Responding officers found two cars crashed and one on its side.Two people had to be extracted from the rollover vehicle, but three people were taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition, police said. The dog was in one of the vehicles and only suffered minor injuries. An HPD sergeant took the canine to an animal shelter for the owner.
According to HPD, one car was traveling west on West Bellfort and t-boned the SUV traveling south on West Sam Houston Parkwy. HPD is trying to figure out who ran the red light at the time of the crash.
