A woman and two men have been arrested on multiple charges involving drugs and prostitution, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday.
Shanice Nicole Miller, 29, Vernon Lawrence Green, 35, and Shawn Russel Parker, 31, were charged with possession of marijuana, a third-degree felony. Miller was also charged with possession of a controlled substance , failure to identify and promotion of prostitution . She is in custody at the Fort Bend County Jail, with bail set at $50,000 and $500 on the prostitution and failure to identify charges, respectively. Bail has not yet been set for Miller's narcotics-related charges.
In addition to Parker's marijuana charge, he is also accused of failing to identify as a fugitive, a Class A misdemeanor. Bail for this charge has been set at $750.On Thursday, deputies arrived at a residence in the 7400 block of Monarch Forest Lane in Booth after receiving a report of an adult female being threatened with a gun.
Deputies removed the female victim from the home. The Fort Bend County Regional SWAT Team was called as a precaution during this process.The case is currently under investigation by the Sheriff's Office Human Trafficking Unit and the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office to determine what led to the alleged aggravated assault.
