The three active fires are under control as of this afternoon
The Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry has confirmed one new wildland fire in the region.
Sudbury 25, which was confirmed late this afternoon, was located on the western shore of Matagamasi Lake. It was declared out at 0.1 of a hectare.Sudbury 24, located south of Sudbury and confirmed on July 18, is currently under control. Timmins 10, which was confirmed yesterday, is under control at 0.6 of a hectare and is located approximately 10km west of Highway 144 and on an island of the Kasasway River.
Parry Sound 13, located south of Parry Sound and west of Highway 400, was confirmed on July 20 and is currently under control at 0.4 of a hectare. The fire hazard is low to moderate in the majority of the region, with the exception of the northwesternmost portion of the region which is presenting a high hazard this afternoon.
