$29M job awarded to Northrop Grumman's St. Augustine plant
Northrop Grumman Systems Corp.'s St. Augustine facility has been awarded a $29.9 million contract for work on the Navy's E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft.
The modification to a $9.5 million basic ordering agreement that was signed in 2020 will see the company install five aerial refueling retrofit kits on the aircraft, which the Navy uses for early warning and control.Northrop Grumman is one of the largest private employers in St. Johns County, with a massive facility adjacent to the Northeast Florida Regional Airport where more than 1,000 employees work.
