More than two dozen men were arrested in January’s undercover human trafficking bust in Fort Bend County.
The efforts were made in collaboration with the Fort Bend District Attorney’s Office and the Human Trafficking Rescue Alliance.
During Monday’s news conference, Fort Bend County District Attorney Brian Middleton said 29 male “sex buyers” who keep up the demand for human trafficking were arrested and charged in the three-day operation, from Jan. 24-27. The suspects were caught by undercover officers posing as employees at a massage parlor. The men offered to pay money in exchange for sex, according to the DA’s Office.
“What was kind of unique about this operation is that we used a store front that had been previously shut down by our county attorney,” Middleton said. “We set up this store front and we conducted this undercover operation, and we will continue to conduct operations to maintain safety in our community.”About the Author:
