“I am truly sorry from the bottom of my heart”

Now, imagine getting dumped on Twitter at the same time as 27,000 other women, while simultaneously being denied a free trip around the moon. That is the devastating letdown experienced this week by the 27,722 women who had applied to accompany Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa on a trip to the moon as his “life partner.
In a series of tweets on Wednesday, Maezawa, who founded Japan’s online fashion retailer Zozotown, announced that he would no longer be participating in the reality show called Full Moon Lovers. The program, which was set to be aired on Japanese internet TV network Abema TV, was supposed to chronicle Maezawa’s 2023 voyage as the first private passenger to take SpaceX’s “Big Falcon Rocket,” which would take him and his “future partner” on a trip around the moon.
On the application website, Maezawa said that he was looking for someone “aged 20 or over,” with a “bright personality,” and is “someone who wishes for world peace.” And while tens of thousands of women applied, the businessman said he decided to nix the show because he had “mixed feelings” about his own participation.
