The 2025 Pro Bowl Games, featuring a skills show and a 7-on-7 flag football game, will bring together the NFL's top players before the Super Bowl. The event offers a fun and competitive platform for these stars to showcase their talents.
Before the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles clash in the Super Bowl , the NFL 's elite talent will be on full display at the 2025 Pro Bowl Games . This year's event features a Pro Bowl Skills Show and a thrilling 7-on-7 flag football game showcasing the best players in the league, selected through a combination of fan, player, and coach votes.
The Pro Bowl Games have evolved from a traditional full-contact football game between AFC and NFC all-stars to a showcase of skills and athleticism. Players ditch the helmets and pads, engaging in flag football and a variety of fun, competitive challenges. The Pro Bowl Skills Show on Thursday, January 30th, will feature five exciting competitions: Dodgeball, Relay Race, Helmet Harmony, Satisfying Catches, and Passing the Test. Sunday's action, February 2nd, will culminate in a 7-on-7 flag football game between the AFC and NFC, along with three additional skills challenges: Punt Perfect, The Great Football Race, and Tug-of-War. Last year, the NFC edged out the AFC with a score of 64-59.Fans can catch all the action live on ESPN and ABC. The Pro Bowl Skills Show airs at 7 p.m. ET on January 30th on ESPN, while the flag football game kicks off at 3 p.m. ET on February 2nd, broadcast on both ESPN and ABC. Both days will also be available for streaming on NFL+. The Sunday events, open to the public, will be held at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, a familiar venue for college football bowl games. The Pro Bowl Games will take place separately from the Super Bowl, which will be held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9th.Former Giants star Eli Manning will lead the NFC team as head coach, while his older brother, Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning, will guide the AFC. The Pro Bowl rosters, subject to change as players confirm their participation, were finalized by the NFL on January 29th. This year's rosters feature 88 players, including 25 replacements for those who have withdrawn. Notably, eleven replacement players are stepping in for the 11 combined players from both the Chiefs and Eagles, who are focusing on preparing for the Super Bowl. Among the 30 first-time Pro Bowl participants are five rookies: Las Vegas tight end Brock Bowers, New England quarterback Drake Maye, Jacksonville wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., New York Giants receiver Malik Nabers, and Los Angeles Rams linebacker Jared Verse. The quarterbacks for the AFC are Cincinnati's Joe Burrow, Buffalo's Josh Allen, and Baltimore's Lamar Jackson. However, Jackson and Allen are unable to attend, so Maye and Pittsburgh's Russell Wilson have been called upon as replacements. The NFC quarterbacks are Minnesota's Sam Darnold, Detroit's Jared Goff, and Tampa Bay's Baker Mayfield, with Mayfield taking over for Washington rookie sensation Jayden Daniels. Both Wilson and Washington Commanders linebacker Bobby Wagner are tied for the most career Pro Bowl selections from this year's group, with 10 each. The AFC and NFC rosters are packed with star players, including Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, Cincinnati wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase and defensive end Trey Hendrickson, Cleveland defensive end Myles Garrett, Dallas defensive end Micah Parsons, San Francisco defensive end Nick Bosa, and Tampa Bay wide receiver Mike Evans.
