It's beginning to look a lot like the holidays with one of the season's brightest events around the corner: the 2024 Island Equipment Owners Association (IEOA) Truck Parade and Food Drive.

It’s beginning to look a lot like the holidays with one of the season’s brightest events around the corner: the 2024 Island Equipment Owners Association Truck Parade and Food Drive., which takes place this Saturday, sees commercial trucks and buses decked out in an array of dazzling lights as they cruise from James Bay in Victoria out to the West Shore.

CHEK News will have live coverage of the parade in our 5 p.m. newscast Saturday and will also stream the event on our broadcast, The parade will begin at the Dallas Road Breakwater at 5 p.m. Saturday. It’ll travel down Dallas Road and proceed to Oak Bay Avenue at approximately 6 p.m. before heading down Douglas Street and Highway 1 out to View Royal, Colwood and Langford.

After reaching Goldstream Avenue and Veterans Memorial Parkway around 7:30 p.m., the parade will make its last stretch out to Ryder Hesjedal Way in Royal Bay, with the festivities wrapping up there at 8 p.m. The annual parade also serves as a food drive for those in need during the holiday season.
