Toyota says the base Core Grade and Circuit edition GR Corollas will be able to sprint from zero to 60 mph in 4.99 seconds. Opt for the ultra-limited Morizo edition and the estimated 0-60 time drops to 4.92 seconds. That's thanks to a multitude of performance upgrades, including an increase in boost pressure, shorter gearing, and the removal of the rear seats. Top speed for all trims is electronically limited to 142.9 mph.

The Core Grade GR Corolla has a curb weight of 3252 pounds, according to Toyota. If you option the dual limited-slip differentials, that jumps to 3262 pounds. Opting for the Circuit edition car adds a further 23 pounds, for a total of 3285 pounds. Thanks to all of the weight savings implemented in the Morizo edition, it's the lightest of the bunch, coming in at a manufacturer-claimed 3186 pounds.

No matter which trim you go for on the GR Corolla, you'll get Toyota's G16E-GTS, a 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder aluminum-alloy engine, under the hood sending power to all four wheels via a six-speed manual and a. All versions make the same 300 hp, though if you opt for the Morizo edition, you'll get 295 lb-ft of torque, an increase of 22 lb-ft over the other trims, thanks to a slight increase in boost pressure .
