The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has lost over three thousand of its members to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Birnin Kudu Local
The state governor, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, who was represented by the state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Umar Namadi, received the defectors in Birnin kudu on Saturday.
While addressing the crowd, the governor welcomed the thousands that decided to join in the struggle to make Jigawa State and Nigeria at large better through the initiatives of the APC. According to him, the APC government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari has achieved a lot and Jigawa State, in particular, is among the top beneficiaries in the country.
Earlier, some of the members of the PDP who tore their membership cards at the arena of the event, said their decision became necessary following the achievements of the APC administration.Related Topics:
