Officers found a 2-year-old boy with gun shot wounds on the West side Saturday night. The boy was shot in the kitchen of the home where police were called, at the 1300 block of West Agarita Avenue, according to the police report.

A family member at the scene said that he heard a gunshot in the kitchen around 7 p.m. and said he found the victim on the kitchen floor. The boy was taken to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. Preliminary reports did not explain how the boy was shot.
