Detectives believe the dispute that led to the stabbing originated on the train as it traveled southbound toward downtown Long Beach.
Two Long Beach teenagers were arrested by police Friday on suspicion of being involved in the stabbing death of a Los Angeles man aboard a Metro A Line train earlier this week, authorities said Saturday, April 15.
The location of the arrests is about a mile east of the station where officers found the victim, identified by police as Luis Fernando Polita, 25, of Los Angeles. At one point, one of the men pulled a knife and stabbed him multiple times, police said. The three men ran away once the train stopped at the downtown Long Beach station.
