Two of Texas’ 10 'Most Wanted' offenders are back in custody following their arrests in late August.

Bird was arrested following a traffic stop by Austin Police Department. Bastrop County Sherriff’s Office assisted in the arrest. Bird has been wanted since October 2021 when a warrant for a probation violation was issued by BCSO. Bird was initially sentenced to six years in confinement in 2012 after he was convicted of indecency with a child by exposure after an incident involving a 10-year-old.

Bingham was arrested in Hutto by members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. He has been wanted in since February 2022 after Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office issued warrants for his arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, theft of property and illegal possession of a firearm by a felon.

Bingham was convicted in 2015 of obstruction/retaliation and credit/debit card abuse. He was sentenced to nine months of confinement. In 2017, he was sentenced to two more years for possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested in 2021 for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, illegal possession and theft of a firearm and theft of property. He had bonded out that time.

According to DPS, so far in 2022, DPS and other agencies have arrested 47 people on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders. DPS says these fugitives are considered armed and dangerous and warns the public to not try to apprehend them.
