2 men were hospitalized in critical condition after being hit by another vehicle while pushing a stalled vehicle near 11590 S. Redwood Road.
SOUTH JORDAN — Two men were hospitalized in critical condition Sunday after being hit by another vehicle while pushing a stalled vehicle near 11590 S. Redwood Road.
About 10:35 p.m., there was a stalled vehicle in the northbound lanes of Redwood Road that was being pushed out of the area by two men in their early 20s. While the two men were pushing the vehicle, police say another vehicle traveling in the northbound lanes rear-ended the vehicle and hit the two men.
The two men were transported to the hospital in critical condition. One of the men's injuries were considered to be life-threatening, according to South Jordan Police Sgt. Adrian Montelongo. A medical helicopter was dispatched but later canceled by first responders. The driver of the vehicle who hit the stalled vehicle was cooperating and had no indication of intoxication, according to Montelongo. The cause of the crash has not been determined, but the stalled vehicle had no lights on at the time of the incident, he added.
