2 injured in Near North Side shooting near Red Line Chicago stop, CPD questioning person of interest

One person was injured in a Near North Side shooting in Chicago near East Chicago and North Wabash avenues, the police department said.Two people were injured in a shooting on Chicago's Near North Side , police said Friday evening.

"I was on State and Pearson about to get a haircut heard about seven, at first I thought fireworks, but no, they were gunshots," said Mitchell Siegel who lives nearby. "Came running over here and that's when all the chaos kind of commenced."
