Deontee Jones, 24, and Earl Betterson, 33, both of Irvington, are each charged in the death of Romulo Luzuriaga of Newark, according to Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II.in the 200 block of Grafton Avenue in Newark. The prosecutor’s office said investigators identified a vehicle involved in the shooting. Newark police spotted the vehicle Friday night and a chase ensued, Stephens and Fragé said.In addition to the murder and robbery charges, Jones was charged with four counts of eluding and five counts of robberies and three weapons offenses for other alleged crimes, Stephens said.
