Two people now face multiple charges after allegedly driving a stolen truck into a police horse, three cruisers and a downtown Toronto storefront Friday afternoon, police say.·Police say 2 people have been charged after an allegedly stolen truck hit a police horse and multiple police vehicles before crashing into a storefront on Queen Street W. Friday afternoon.

A woman, 30, has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, Toronto police said in a Saturday news release. Police say a man, 33, faces the same charges, along with two counts of mischief/damage to property over $5,000, four counts of assaulting a peace officer with a weapon, dangerous operation of a vehicle, endangering lives or public safety, and injuring a police, military or service animal.Mounted officers approached a vehicle parked on Queen Street W.

Police allege the accused then tried to drive off, but struck a police horse and three cruisers before ultimately crashing into a Little Burgundy storefront. One person was arrested at the scene and the other was arrested after a short foot pursuit, police say.A suspect and police officer were then taken to hospital with minor injuries, police say, and a police horse was taken to an emergency animal hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say both the accused were out on bail at the time of the incident. They say both were due to appear in court Saturday morning.
