Two people have been arrested in British Columbia for running a fake taxi scam that targeted good Samaritans. The suspects allegedly picked up unsuspecting passengers and then demanded exorbitant fares.

Fake Taxi Scam Targets SFU Students, Two ChargedTwo men are facing charges for allegedly running a fake taxi scam in the Lower Mainland, targeting unsuspecting Good Samaritans, including SFU Burnaby students. The suspects approached victims in a black Hyundai Elantra with a taxi sign, claiming a passenger couldn't pay their fare and asking for help.
