Two people have been arrested in connection to the deadly mass shooting in Fort Worth's Como Neighborhood earlier this week. fwpdchiefnoakes says it is believed to be a gang-related incident. READ MORE:

20-year-old Christopher Redic Jr. and 19-year-old Brandon Williams were both arrested and charged with murder on Friday."We do believe this was gang related," Fort Wort Police Chief Neil Noakes said in a news conference Friday.

Three people died, including 22-year-old Cynthia Santos, 18-year-old Paul Willis, and 18-year-old Gabriella Navarrete, after shooters opened fire on a crowd of hundreds on Horne Street late Monday night.All of the victims of the Como shooting have now been identified. Details are beginning to be released about them.

Eight others were injured, including Daron Rutherford. He told FOX 4 he was shot while trying to shield his daughter from the gunfire.The man shot while shielding his daughter is still recovering but took time to talk with FOX 4 about that night. Meantime, police still haven't made any arrests or even released any possible suspect descriptions.Police said surveillance video from the are helped them identify the suspects.

The shooting happened less than two hours after the end of ComoFest, an annual Fourth of July celebration in the neighborhood. Community leaders say the shooting and gathering were not connected to the festival. Fort Worth Police said that they will make changes to the events surrounding the ComoFest celebration moving forward."They are standing strong. They are leaning on each other," he said.
