Two armed robbers forced employees to open a safe before getting away with cash Sunday at a McDonald’s restaurant in Philadelphia, according to news reports.
The incident occurred around 2:22 a.m. Sunday morning at the McDonald’s located on the 6400 block of Torresdale Avenue. An employee slipped through a rear door and was taking a break outside when two armed burglars with handguns approached the employee and forced them to open the back door using an employee code,
Once inside, they forced an employee to open a locked back area and a safe in the backroom and then forced the store manager to open a locked safe.Officers responded to a report of a person with a gun at the fast-food restaurant.
