Darrien James Buck, 19, has been charged with capital murder in connection with the shooting death of Kevin Alfredo Nava, 18, according to court records. Buck’s indictment accuses him of killing Nava while attempting to rob him.
Nava was one of three people shot in north Houston on a Saturday night in November. Two other men were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds. The shooting happened around 8 p.m. in the 7200 block of Northline Drive. Officers were flagged down by two men, both of whom had been shot, and they found a third man dead in a truck, according to the Houston Police Department. Witnesses told detectives three men had approached the truck and fired at it before fleeing.
As of Thursday morning, Buck had only been charged for the fatal shooting, according to court records.
