Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Badr Abdelaty, meets with his counterpart in the Maldives, Mr. Mohamedlaa, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and coordinating on regional and international issues.

وأضاف خلال مؤتمر صحفي مع وزير خارجية جزر القمر ملاي محمد، اليوم الأحد، أنهما أجريا مباحثات معمقة وشاملة شهدت استعراض أوجه التعاون الثنائي في مخلتف المجالات. ولفت إلى أن هناك فرصًا لتكثيف التعاون بين البلدين، بما في ذلك تقديم المنح التعليمية والدراسية، حيث يتم استقبال طلبة من جزر القمر للحصول على هذه المنح. ونوه إلى أن مصر تقدر جهود جزر القمر للتحديث والتطوير، وتقدم الدعم الكامل لرؤية جزر قمر بازغة 2030 بما يقود إلى دعم تنفيذها على أرض الواقع.
وذكر وزير الخارجية، أنَّ مصر حريصة على دعم جزر القمر في التحضيرات الجارية لدورة الألعاب للدول المطلة على المحيط الهندي في العام المقبل. وعبر عن اعتزازه بعمل الشركات المصرية في جزر القمر وبخاصة شركة المقاولون العرب، مشجعا القطاع الخاص المصري على المزيد من الاستثمارات هناك. وزير الخارجية يستقبل نظيره القمري لبحث سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية والتنسيق حول القضايا الإقليمية والدولية
