In an update, investigators said the teen got into a fight with one of the party goer's dads when they both pulled out handguns.
A 16-year-old was shot and killed during a fight at an after-prom party Saturday morning, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.Sgt. Jason Brown said the deadly shooting happened at about 1:30 a.m. in the 8500 block of Majesticbrook Court.
Investigators said the victim, identified as Isacc Zetino, was attending the party, where a crowd of about 100 people had gathered Deputies said the father of a girl attending the party got into an argument with Zetino and another juvenile.It is unclear what the argument was about. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Zetino with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.Authorities located the adult involved in the shootout with Zetino and the second juvenile. According to deputies, the man cooperated with investigators and provided a statement that said, in part, that he had acted in self-defense when he was shooting.Editor's note: The Harris County Sheriff's Office initially reported the shooting happened at a high school graduation party.
