. The season picks up eight months after season two ends -- when Clay thwarts an attempted school shooting by fellow student Tyler .
"Sorry, it's got -- there's some blood on the case," Bryce says to Jess before handing her this tape. "F**king Zach, I'm gonna wreck his life," he screams out in pain as Alex genuinely does seem to want to help him. Bryce then shifts his anger towards Jess, screaming thatset him up. That's when he goes too far in Alex's mind, and Alex, with all his might, pushes an injured and weak Bryce into the freezing water below.
Of course, Bryce's death wasn't the only one we saw this season. Montgomery 'Monte' de la Cruz also died in the finale while serving a prison sentence after being falsely charged with Bryce's murder. were a big topic this season.
