The Capital Regional District is asking 13,000 residents in the Sooke area to reduce water use after a break was identified in a major water main.

The break was located in the Sooke Potholes Regional Park, north of the water treatment plant, around 6 a.m. Until the break is fixed, all residents in the Sooke Drinking Water Service Area are asked to “reduce all discretional water use,” said the CRD
