Three people are in hospital, including a child in serious condition, after a Friday morning crash in the southwest Calgary community of Belmont.

Around 7:40 a.m., Calgary police responded to 210 Avenue and Belmont Drive S.W. after a 12-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle.His injuries are life-altering, but he is stable, police say.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage of the incident is asked to call police at 403-266-1234.Clarissa Go has lived in Belmont for a couple of months and says her children walk across that intersection to get to school."I always remind them to look around, you know, left and right and back, and I tell them to not use their phones while crossing the intersection."The Shopping Trends team is independent of the journalists at CTV News.
