9 The Kes and Neelix Relationship Doesn't Work Star Trek: Voyager depicted Neelix and Kes in a romantic relationship for its first three seasons, but the dynamic between the two doesn't hold up under modern-day scrutiny. Kes was Ocampan, a species that only live nine years, so was often depicted as more childlike and innocent compared to the older Neelix, who sometimes acted closer to a father figure to her than a romantic partner.
6 Voyager Episode "Threshold" Is Hilariously Terrible Unsurprisingly, Star Trek: Voyager season 2, episode 15, "Threshold" has gone down in history as one of the worst episodes of the entire franchise. In the episode, Tom Paris attempted to break the warp 10 speed barrier, but the feat caused him to transform into a salamander-like creature, abduct Captain Janeway in order to transform her too, and then mate with her, producing offspring.
