1 person dead near southbound I-805 in Mission Valley; SIG Alert issued [Breaking]
One person died near southbound Interstate 805 in Mission Valley, causing the California Highway Patrol to close a freeway ramp Wednesday morning.
It is unclear how the person died. The incident is not believed to be related to a traffic collision, said CHP Officer Jesse Matias. A SIG Alert was issued around 7:48 a.m. on southbound I-805 near Camino del Rio North in Mission Valley after a reported fatality, according to the CHP.CHP officers closed the southbound I-805 connector ramp to westbound Interstate 8 in Mission Valley just before 8 a.m.
No details were immediately available on the fatality or how long the closure would be in place. The SigAlert remained well after 10 a.m.
