SUN VALLEY — One person was killed Tuesday when a Metrolink train struck a vehicle in the Sun Valley area.
The crash occurred around 3:20 p.m. near Coldwater Canyon Avenue and Raymer Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Responding crews found the mangled vehicle on the scene, and one person was reported to be trapped in the wreckage.According to Metrolink, the train that struck the vehicle was heading from downtown Los Angeles to Moorpark on the Ventura County Line.
The tracks were closed between Burbank Airport and Van Nuys due to the crash. There were no immediate reports of any injuries aboard the train.
