A man was killed and three others were wounded in a shooting early Sunday in northwest Dallas, police said.

Officers were called just after 3 a.m. to the 3600 block of Cortez Drive, near Marsh Lane and Webb Chapel Road. Police said a fight broke out at an event and escalated to gunfire. One man was pronounced dead by first responders. Three other men were taken to a hospital, where one was is in critical condition and two were stable, police said.

None of the men have been identified, and police did not release any additional information about the slaying.. Maggie writes about public safety in the D-FW suburbs.
