Appearing on The Shuttlepod Show in 2022, executive producer Brannon Braga answered a fan question about Star Trek: Enterprise's finale, and he told hosts Dominic Keating, Connor Trinneer, and Erica LaRose that he now thinks "These Are The Voyages..." should not have been the very last episode of the series.
The way I looked at it… First of all, I think everything would have been great if [“These Are The Voyages…”] had been the penultimate episode. If it had not been the final episode. I looked at it as a lost Next Generation episode. That’s how I viewed the storyline, because it really was. It was Riker and Troi going on the holodeck and looking at Enterprise. So it was kind of a cool, high-concept episode.
