Peel Regional Police responded to a collision on Bovaird Drive east of Heritage Road just after 11 a.m, Const. Richard Chin said Sunday afternoon.Police discovered two vehicles with extensive damage following a head-on collision on Bovaird Drive Sunday. They say part of the road will be closed for some time Sunday, and are asking drivers to avoid the area.
Police found two people inside one of the vehicles, Chin said, and one person in the other. All three had "significant injuries," Chin said. Two were airlifted to hospital, while the other was taken by ambulance.Police are asking drivers to avoid the area, saying Bovaird Drive will remain closed for some time between Heritage and Mississauga roads.
The major collision bureau is now investigating, Chin said. Investigators are asking any witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage of the collision, to come forward.
